This
was a proposal for a commercial building to replace a demolished
building on the corner of Colombo and Hereford Streets. It was prepared
for a developer to pitch to the land-owner, and did not proceed. The
version shown to the land-owner was finished in smooth plaster instead
of red brick. The idea was to create an attractive, versatile and
timeless building able to be assembled relatively inexpensively from a
small kitset of precast concrete components. The building was modelled
by James Carr and rendered by Nick Treloar at W2 Limited.
